Reeds for aroma diffuser Brown 3 mm x 240 mm 5 pcs (1 pc)
Rattan sticks are natural, porous rods made from the stems of rattan (a tropical vine from the palm family).They are used in aroma diffusers for uniform and long-lasting evaporation of aromatic liquids into the air.
Material: natural rattan.
Origin: Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines).
Color: natural brown.
Length: 240 mm.
Diameter: 3 mm.
Structure: with numerous microtubules inside the stem.
Principle of operation
Rattan has a capillary structure that allows the liquid to rise through the tubules from the base to the top of the stick. Due to this:
- the aromatic liquid gradually evaporates into the air;
- constant, soft aromatization of the room is ensured without heating or electricity;
- the intensity of the aroma can be adjusted by the number of sticks.
Advantages of rattan sticks:
- natural, environmentally friendly material;
- absorbs well and evenly evaporates the aroma;
- does not require maintenance or electricity;
- safe for humans and animals;
- can be biodegradable after use.
Usage:
- immerse 3-7 sticks in a bottle with aromatic liquid;
- after 10-15 minutes, turn the sticks over to activate the aroma;
- to maintain the intensity of the smell, turn the sticks over 1-2 times a week;
- over time (after 1-2 months), the sticks can be replaced with new ones.
Care and tips:
- do not mix old sticks with new ones, if the aroma changes - the old ones can distort the smell;
- store in a dry place, out of direct sunlight;
- for better effect, use with aromatic bases on an alcohol or glycol base, and not on pure oils (so that the liquid penetrates the pores better).
Alternative
In addition to rattan sticks, sometimes they use:
- fiber sticks (synthetic, with a more uniform capillary effect);
- bamboo sticks (less effective, because they have closed fibers and do not transmit aroma well).
