Scent is one of the first things people notice in cosmetics. This section offers two ways to create it: natural essential oils and cosmetic fragrance oils.
Essential oils are extracted from plants. They give a natural aroma and skin care benefits, but they are highly concentrated: use them in small amounts and always dilute them in a carrier oil or a finished product.
Cosmetic fragrance oils give a stable scent, including ones that do not exist in nature: sweet, fruity and bakery notes. They work well in soap, candles and rinse-off cosmetics.
