Special bases are required when you want to create soap with a unique texture or effect.

Jelly base (such as Neri Jelly or Velona Jelly Pop) produces a firm, gelatinous soap that is fun to hold—especially for children. Cream base has a soft, pliable texture and is used to make cream soap and soap "pastries." Black base containing charcoal (bamboo or coconut) and base infused with Dead Sea mud are ideal for detoxifying, cleansing soaps. Neri Swirl is designed specifically for creating swirls—marbled patterns that do not blur or bleed during the pouring process.
